Usage Note 47240: Large Block Interface (LBI) is not supported for SAS® libraries on tape

Beginning with SAS® 9.2, the z/OS Large Block Interface (LBI) is fully supported for external files (for example, those processed via the FILENAME statement) and for SAS libraries, except for SAS libraries that are stored on tape.
LBI support for SAS libraries on tape is planned for a future software release.
